Workshop on Anger Management for male youths on June 17, 2006
MAVA is organizing a half-day workshop on Anger Management on June 17, 2006. The workshop will be conducted by noted psychiatrist Dr. Harish Shetty and held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Training Centre of; Larsen & Toubro Limited’s Health Centre,(Near old ‘Darpan Talkies’) ‘Landmark’, Block B, Suren Road, Off. Andheri-Kurla Road, Andheri (East), Mumbai –400093.
Registration is open to male youths in the age-group of 18 – 30 years and is on first-cum-first serve basis. There will be max.30 participants. Participation fee is Rs.150/- (inclusive of lunch, material and honorarium to trainer) and has to be paid before 12th June at MAVA’s Counselling Centre at following address:

Open Study Circle on Saturday, June 10, 2006
At its newly started Counselling & Guidance Centre, Andheri MAVA plans to periodically organise a series of Study Circle Sessions on number of topics related to Gender & Sexuality, open to all – Men & Women. The idea is to get different perspectives and thoughts on the subject by distinguished persons from various fields, sharing their insights and concerns.
The first Study Circle session will be held on Saturday June 10, 2006 from 4.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. wherein Social Activist – Writer Rajeev Kalelkar will speak on "Masculinism: Newly Emerging Masculinities", followed by a detailed, open discussion.
